Somiits App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Somiits ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and shares your information when you use our Somiits mobile applications (the "Customer App," "Provider App," and "Serviceman App") and our related services (collectively, the "Services").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in a transparent and secure manner. By using the Somiits Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information to provide and improve our Services to you. This includes:
1.1. Information You Provide Directly to Us:
Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, password, and profile picture.
For Customers: Billing address, payment information (though we do not store full payment card details – see Section 3.3).
For Providers: Business name, registration details, tax identification numbers, contact persons, service categories, pricing information, bank account details for payouts, and potentially verification documents (e.g., business permits, IDs).
For Servicemen: Identification details (e.g., national ID, driver's license), contact information, profile picture, service specialties, availability, bank account details for payouts, and potentially background check information (with your explicit consent).
Booking and Service Information:
For Customers: Service requests (type of service, description, desired time, location), bid details, communication with providers and servicemen, service ratings and reviews.
For Providers: Service acceptance/rejection, assignment of servicemen, service completion status, communication with customers and servicemen.
For Servicemen: Assigned jobs, service progress updates, completion details, communication with customers and providers.
Communications: Any messages, chats, or other communications between users (customers, providers, servicemen) within the app, as well as communications with Somiits customer support.
User-Generated Content: Reviews, ratings, photos, or other content you upload or post on the platform.
1.2. Information We Collect Automatically:
Location Information: We collect precise location data from your mobile device when the app is in use (for both customers, providers, and servicemen) to facilitate location-based service matching, tracking service progress, and ensuring accurate service delivery. You can disable location services through your device settings, but this may affect the functionality of the app.
Device Information: Information about your mobile device, including the device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, IP address, and app version.
Usage Information: Details of how you use our Services, such as the pages or features you access, the time and date of your visits, the services you search for, the bookings you make, and your interactions with other users.
Log Data: Server logs may include your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels) to track activity on our Services and hold certain information. These are used for purposes such as remembering your preferences, analyzing usage patterns, and delivering personalized content.
1.3. Information from Third Parties:
Payment Processors: When you make payments through the app, your payment information is processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not directly store your full payment card details but may receive transaction details (e.g., last four digits of card, expiry date, transaction ID) for verification and record-keeping.
Identity Verification and Background Checks (for Providers/Servicemen): We may use third-party services to verify the identity and conduct background checks on providers and servicemen, where permitted by law and with your explicit consent.
Analytics Providers: We may receive aggregated or anonymized information from third-party analytics services about user behavior on our app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:
To Provide and Operate the Services: To enable service booking, matching customers with providers and servicemen, facilitating communication, processing payments, and managing your accounts.
To Personalize Your Experience: To tailor service recommendations, display relevant content, and improve the efficiency of service matching.
To Improve and Develop Our Services: To understand how users interact with our platform, analyze usage trends, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features and services.
For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect against unauthorized access, maintain the security of our platform, and prevent fraudulent activities.
For Communication: To send you important updates, notifications related to your bookings or services, promotional messages (if you have opted in), and customer support responses.
For Bidding and Negotiation (Customer App): To facilitate the bidding process between customers and providers for services.
For Location-Based Services: To enable real-time tracking of servicemen, optimize service dispatch, and provide accurate arrival estimates.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with the following categories of recipients:
Between Users (Customers, Providers, Servicemen):
Customers and Providers: When a booking is made, relevant information (e.g., service request details, customer location, provider contact info) is shared to facilitate the service.
Providers and Servicemen: Providers share customer booking details and location with assigned servicemen to enable service delivery. Servicemen share their location and service progress with providers.
Customers and Servicemen: Once a serviceman is assigned, their contact information and current location (for tracking purposes) may be shared with the customer, and vice-versa, to facilitate direct communication about the service.
With Service Providers: We engage third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, data analytics, cloud hosting, customer support, and identity verification. These providers have access to personal information only to perform their functions and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).
In Case of Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
With Your Consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information from our records.
